I preordered the CD and it came in today one day before the release date and I must say, i am far from dissapointed. This CD is very unique in a variety of ways. First of all is the beat selection. The beat selection is very futuristic on most of the track. Second of all are the distinct sounds. The way that sounds are manipulated in adding detail or altering voices is very creative on this album. The CD will also take you by suprise when hearing it in the fact that the delivery on this album is far different from their last album which was more of an underground East-Coast philly grimey feel. This album, however is far different in the fact that it sounds very futuristic. If you were a fan of the last album, this one will take a while to get used to, but it will grow on you extremely fast. The CD sounds far different than anything ive heard within the Christian or secular hip-hop arena which took me by suprise. The tracks on this CD are amazing, which my favorites include “I Dont Belong” which has a techno-rap feel that will take you back, “Against The Grain” which is a well put depiction of the struggle and the mixed emotions of a true believer and of course “Jesus Pride” in which the production is amazing very unique and Mac shows an incredible amount of lyrical growth. Of course there are tracks which takes you back to that last album feel such as “What You Look Like.” Although I do have more of an ear for their last album, this album is far from dissapointing. Overall, the album is a banger and shows that EP has grown for the better. With Mac’s extreme lyrical growth, the duo is much more potent than before. I would have to give this album a 4/5.
